Now that the school visits have finished the children have spent the last few weeks putting their posters together. On Friday the hundreds of entries were judged and a short list of finalists drawn up. The nineteen children have now been sent invitations to finals night on Monday 27th October 2008 at Rangers Study Support Centre where they will present their work to the judges.
Trent, Shane,Robert and Mitchell will be there on the night to present the awards to the children. Thanks to the support of Buildbase, FSM Outdoor Advertising, STARS and the promotion the children will be working to win PSPs, MP3 players, Speedway trophies, certificates as well as goodies from Buildbase and Nat West.

First stop for the mobile Study Support Centre was to St Marthas Primary in Springburn. the usual duo of robert and Trent were jioned by new boys Josh and Mitchell while Shane up in holiday in Scotland for the kids mid term also came along to show the youngsters how it was done.
Brian and Cheryl Logan from Cowal Media also dropped in and took the children through an interview session live on camera with Shane and Mitchell. Thanks to all the riders, Brian, Cheryl and Fraser for giving up their time.
Next part is Sunday where Josh has been set up to be interviewed by the kids. Which will be used in the school radio station.

Poster Competition
Using digital photography skills learned at the centre, the children on visiting Ashfield will take images that they can use to create their speedway poster. The winning design will be displayed on a billboard near the winner’s school by FSM Outdoor Advertising.

Part 1 schools either visiting the centre or the riders visiting the schools. The pupils will be involved in digital photography, interviews, radio station and a design activity using photography and Publisher.
Part 2 will involve the school coming along to Ashfield on a Sunday to enjoy (?) the meeting, take photographs and meet the riders.
Part 3 will be back in school where they will use the photographs to produce a poster which Fraser MacDonald of FSM Outdoor Advertising has agreed will be made up and displayed on a prominent display board near the winners school. It could be in a railway station, shopping centre etc.
